Is EraseText free to use?
Yes, the preview is free: you get 3 watermarked 512 px previews per day without an account. The clean full-resolution download costs $0.99 per image, or less with a credit pack.
How much does the HD download cost?
$0.99 for one image, $4.99 for 6 images or $9.99 for 15 images. There is no subscription and credits never expire.
Will removing text damage the background?
The AI only changes the area you paint and fills it to match the surroundings. Results are best on plain or repeating backgrounds. You always see the preview before you pay.
Which images can I upload?
JPG, PNG and WebP files up to 15 MB. Images larger than 4096 px on the long side are scaled down to 4096 px before processing.
How does auto-detect find the text?
Auto-detect runs optical character recognition (Tesseract.js) inside your browser and marks the words it finds. Nothing is uploaded until you click the remove button. It works best on clear printed text.
What happens to my images?
They are stored on Cloudflare R2 only for processing and are deleted automatically after 24 hours. We do not use your images to train AI models.
